Chapter 37
The Way never acts, yet nothing is left undone. If rulers and kings could hold fast to it, all things would transform of themselves. If, in transformation, desires arise, I would suppress them with the simplicity of the nameless. With the simplicity of the nameless, there will be no desires. Without desires, there is stillness. The world will then be settled of itself.
