Lin Zhi Zhi (The Unicorn's Hoof)

Preface to "Lin Zhi Zhi": "Lin Zhi Zhi" is a response to "Guan Ju." When the transformation advocated by "Guan Ju" is carried out, no one in the world will violate ritual and righteousness. Even the princes and their sons in an age of decline become as sincere, trustworthy, kind, and magnanimous as those of the Lin Zhi era.

The unicorn’s hooves,

Like the honest and generous lord’s son—

Ah, truly a unicorn!

The unicorn’s forehead,

Like the honest and generous descendants—

Ah, truly a unicorn!

The unicorn’s horn,

Like the honest and generous clan—

Ah, truly a unicorn!

"Lin Zhi Zhi" has three stanzas, each with three lines.

The poems of the state of Zhou Nan consist of eleven pieces, thirty-six stanzas, and one hundred fifty-nine lines.
