Lamb Fur

Preface: The poem "Lamb Fur" is the manifestation of the accomplishments extolled in the poem "Magpie's Nest." The feudal states of the Shao-nan region were influenced by King Wen's governance and teachings, and the officials in office were all able to practice frugality and uprightness, their virtue being like that of lambs.

Wearing a fur robe made of lambskin, with white silk threads sewn into five (or five types of) buttons or ornaments. Returning from the official court to eat at home, at ease and leisurely, carefree and content.
