"Jiong Zhuo"

Preface: The poem "Jiong Zhuo" is a remonstrance from the Duke of Shao to King Cheng of Zhou, saying that Heaven draws near to those who are virtuous and partakes of those who are righteous.

Far away, take water from the roadside puddle, ladle it and pour it into this vessel; it can be used to steam and cook food. The gentle and easygoing noble man is the parent of the people.
