Flying Egrets

Preface: "Zhen Lu" describes the scene where the descendants of the Xia and Shang dynasties come to assist in the sacrifices.

White egrets fly in flocks,

Arriving at the western marshlands.

My guests have come here,

With bearing as pure and noble as theirs.

There, no one detests them;

Here, no one tires of them.

May it be so from morning to night,

Thus forever preserving their fine renown.

"Zhen Lu" consists of one stanza, eight lines in total.
