"Silk Robe"

Preface: "Silk Robe" is a song of music performed after the sacrifice, during the ritual of feasting the impersonator of the deceased. Master Gao said it was used when sacrificing to the Star of Agriculture, with an impersonator present.

The silk robe is pure and bright, the leather cap worn with reverence and dignity. From the temple hall they proceed to the steps within the gate, from offering sheep to offering oxen. The great tripod, the medium tripod, and the small tripod are all arranged in order.

The rhinoceros-horn cups are gracefully curved, the fine wine mild and mellow. No clamor, no rudeness—long life and good fortune, how splendid!

The poem "Silk Robe" consists of one stanza with nine lines.
