Setting Sail from Yangzi, Sent to Secretary Yuan (Wei Yingwu: Setting Sail from Yangzi, Sent to Secretary Yuan)
Chapter 24
Sadly I part from my dear friend
And sail amid mist-veiled ripples.
Bound for Luoyang, I row my boat,
Only to hear the lingering bell from Guangling
Echoing among the treetops.
Today I leave you here—
Where shall we meet again in days to come?
Worldly affairs are like a little boat on the waves;
Drifting with or against the current, nowhere can it stay.
